Texas Tech Athletics has released fan information for Saturday’s visit from ESPN College GameDay ahead of the Texas Tech basketball team’s game against Houston.
Due to weather in the Lubbock area and across the country, the show is now scheduled to air from 9-10 a.m. from United Supermarkets Arena. Tip time for the game is now 1 p.m., moved up from its originally scheduled 5:30 p.m. time. Those changes were announced Thursday night.

Doors to the USA will open at 8 a.m. It’s free admission for all fans who wish to attend the show. After the show, Texas Tech will clear the lower bowl of the arena and offer fans who want to remain in the arena to scan their game ticket on the concourse. Those without tickets will be asked to leave.
Students can remain inside the USA after the show’s conclusion. Open seating will be offered for GameDay on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students will then be asked to move into the reserved student section after the pregame show.
Texas Tech is also encouraging fans to arrive early Saturday for easy access. For GameDay, free parking will be available in the west communter lot. The north and south lots to the USA will be monitored with only season ticket holders with paid parking permits allowed to enter those locations.
The normal parking procedures will resume once GameDay goes off the air. The parking in the S-1 lot at the John Walker Soccer Complex with roundtrip transportation via Citibus will remain active for the game.
