Texas football coach Steve Sarkisian’s wife Loreal Sarkisian announced Friday afternoon the birth of their child.
Sarkisian missed Monday’s practice because of the birth, according to Orangeblood’s Anwar Richardson.
“He’s arrived, and our hearts are so full of love and gratitude! Embracing these first days quietly resting, adjusting and soaking in every little moment has been amazing,” Loreal Sarkisian posted on Instagram. “Thank you for your love and for respecting this sweet time of privacy.”
The two married in 2020, though the couple announced last July that they were filing for divorce, citing how their professional careers “made it difficult to prioritize time for each other.” Despite the decision, they said they aimed “to remain the best of friends.”

While they never declared their intentions to rekindle their relationship, Loreal attended a few Texas games during the 2024 season. She’s seen wearing her wedding ring in one of the photos on her Instagram post.
Sarkisian separated from his first wife, Stephanie in 2015. The two had three kids together, including his son Brady, a walk-on Longhorns linebacker who saw some game action during Texas’ win over UTSA in 2024.
Loreal Sarkisian is a former track star who has made waves in the fashion industry as an impressive stylist. She also ran hurdles at North Carolina A&T and is involved in charity work.
