With the addition of Mississippi State to the field, Texas A&M basketball’s opponents for the 2026 Battle 4 Atlantis were officially announced on Monday evening.
According to a report from CBS Sports reporter Matt Norlander, the tournament has been changed to include two groups of four teams, with the Bulldogs being added. This means the Aggies will face Marquette and Xavier, setting up for a showdown against former Texas A&M guard Rubén Dominguez, who transferred to Xavier after the 2025-26 season.
Here are the teams slated to compete in the Battle 4 Atlantis this season:
Both games will be a massive challenge in the Bahamas for the Aggies, but also provide an opportunity to showcase what they can bring to the table in the second year under head coach Bucky McMillan, who led last year’s squad to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
McMillan brought his fast-paced offense to Bryan-College Station, providing Aggie fans with an exciting brand of basketball to watch at Reed Arena. He’ll look to bring more success to the program in 2026-27 with the No. 18 transfer portal class in the country. That includes one of the nation’s top scorers, Kansas State transfer PJ Haggerty.
The exact 2026 Battle 4 Atlantis schedule will be announced at a later date, but the tournament will take place on November 25-27 at the Imperial Arena on Paradise Island, Bahamas. It will run across three days with matchups between teams in their respective groups.
