Another day, another practice without wide receiver Christian Kirk.
As the Houston Texans prepare for their Week 1 battle with the Los Angeles Rams, the passing attack could be missing a key element in the slot. Kirk, who also missed Wednesday’s practice with what’s being listed as a hamstring injury, didn’t not partake in drills for a second straight practice.
Rookie Jaylin Noel has seen a majority of work in the slot and as the team’s return man in place of Kirk and Berrios, respectively.
Thursday practices are normally the week’s most strenuous outing and give a gauge of how ready a player is for the upcoming game. Last season, tight end Dalton Schultz was the only player to miss Thursday practice and later suited up for the game the following Sunday.
The Texans kick off against the Rams at SoFi Stadium at 3:30 p.m. on CBS.
