Atmos Energy donated $1,000 to an initiative to provide a boost to military and veteran families, according to a media release.
Pam Hughes Pak, Atmos Energy manager of public affairs, recently presented a $1,000 donation to Pam Peterson, chief operating officer for the Five and Thrive program at Sheppard Air Force Base, the media release said.
Atmos Energy’s Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities Initiative prioritizes support for community heroes and their families, the Atmos media release said.
Five and Thrive is dedicated to strengthening military and veteran families by addressing the top five quality-of-life issues impacting military families:
Through a resource hub, community guides, partnerships and outreach efforts, Five and Thrive connects families to trusted resources and support.
Five and Thrive advocates for quality-of-life improvements, fosters community partnerships, consolidates resources through one centralized hub and educates families and leaders on existing efforts and best practices, the media release said.
In addition, the program promotes the exceptional value of the military-connected spouse.
