Texans WR Braxton Berrios suffers chest injury in third quarter vs. 49ers

Losing a wide receiver might not be ideal for the Houston Texans, especially with both Nico Collins and Christian Kirk on the mend.

That the unfortunate case for the offense entering the midway point of the third quarter.

Wide receiver Braxton Berrios is questionable to return with a chest injury suffered following a first-down run by Nick Chubb. It seemed as if he was run over by Chubb and collided with a 49ers defensive back.

Entering the third quarter, Berrios had recorded five catches for 38 yards. He also picked up four first-down connections. If he can’t go, the Texans will turn over to Jared Wayne for a larger role with the personnel opposite Jayden Higgins, Jaylin Noel and Xavier Hutchinson.

Should the Texans hold onto their lead, it’ll mark the first victory since Week 8 and help Houston improve to 2-1 at NRG Stadium ahead of their next two home games.
