There’s an open spot on the Houston Texans’ roster ahead of the team’s minicamp.
Earlier this week, the Texans announced that they’ve waived-injured cornerback Ajani Carter. If he clears waivers, Carter will revert to injured reserve, thus leading to him missing the entire 2026 season.
Carter, a longtime practice squad member, played two games with the Texans last season and was on the active roster for the postseason. He actually saw action in Houston’s road win over the Kansas City Chiefs and rotated in on defense against the Tennessee Titans.
The Texans begin camp on Tuesday.
