The San Antonio Spurs are headed back to the NBA Finals after a gritty Game 7 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, knocking off the defending champions 111-103 to capture the Western Conference title.
Led by Victor Wembanyama’s breakout playoff run, San Antonio overcame a 3-2 series deficit and closed out the series on the road, ending Oklahoma City’s title defense and setting up a long-awaited Finals matchup with the New York Knicks.
It marks the Spurs’ first trip to the Finals since 2014, while the Knicks return for the first time since 1999, renewing a historic matchup with a new generation of stars.
