A 46-year-old woman died as a result of a one-vehicle crash Sunday in Haskell County, the Texas Department of Public Safety said in a media release.
The crash happened at about 11:10 p.m. Sunday about 6 miles northwest of Haskell on FM 2163, the DPS said.
Natalee Leeann Caddel, 46, of O’Brien was driving a 2010 Ford Transit Connect minivan west on FM 2163, the DPS said. She entered a curve at an unsafe speed, and the minivan left the road to the west.
The driver lost control, went into a sideways skid and overturned, the DPS said. Caddel was ejected from the vehicle.
She was transported to Haskell Memorial Hospital, the DPS said. She was pronounced dead at 12:21 a.m. Monday by Haskell County Justice of the Peace Doy Jeter at the hospital.
She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, the DPS said. The speed limit was 55 mph, weather was clear and the road was dry.
