Something sweet is on its way to Abilene.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is constructing a brand new location in the heart of West Texas at 4145 Ridgemont Drive right across from the Lowe’s Home Improvement store.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is a national burger chain originating from Wichita, Kansas, specializing in thin-edged crispy burgers and fresh frozen custard served in a retro dinner atmosphere.
Construction on the new 2,500-square-foot restaurant began May 4 and is expected to be completed by Dec. 4, according to a project document from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The estimated project cost is $1.8 million, according to the TDLR filings.
The closest Freddy’s location to Abilene now is in Sweetwater, approximately 45 miles away from the new location being built on Ridgemont.
