Major League Baseball is ready to begin its 162-game season in what has turned into an opening weekend full of baseball.
The first official regular-season game, Opening Day, arrives Wednesday, March 25 when the New York Yankees head across the country to play the San Francisco Giants in an interleague game. This is the first time the stand-alone season opener has been an interleague game.
There will be 11 more openers on Thursday as the rests of the league swings into action.
