The big red warning weather evacuation screens went up on Day 3 of Welcome to Rockville at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach on May 9, as severe weather yet again moved into the area.
At about 4:30 p.m., the video screens in the Speedway read “ATTENTION Weather Evacuation. Severe weather is approaching. Calmly proceed to the nearest exit.”
May 9 headliners were scheduled to be “Bring Me The Horizon.”
Day 2 of Welcome to Rockville on May 8 had a 2 /12 hour delay due to heavy thunderstorms, but the event continued with later set times, including headliner Foo Fighters.
