Miami double dips with selection of another Red Raider, Caleb Douglas

The Miami Dolphins must really like Texas Tech. Caleb Douglas was selected No. 75 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft, not too long after the Fins selected Jacob Rodriguez with pick No. 43.

Douglas joined the Red Raiders prior to the 2024 season after transferring from the Florida Gators. Now he will head back to Florida to suit up with the Dolphins. During his time with Florida, Douglas appeared in 13 games with 21 receptions for 308 yards and three touchdowns. He exploded in Lubbock, hauling in 114 passes for 1,723 yards and 13 touchdowns. It was quite the move for the Texas native.

Douglas became the first offensive player to come off the board for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. He could be joined shortly by fellow wide receiver Reggie Virgil and quarterback Behren Morton. For now, the focus for Douglas is simple: help return the Dolphins to the top of the AFC East and dethrone the New England Patriots.

The Texas Tech wideout will now have the opportunity to help one of the worst passing offenses in the league. It can only go up from here for Miami. Douglas joins Rodriguez and Jordyn Brooks as Texas Tech alumni to suit up for Miami.
