McDonald’s just dropped a new lineup of Happy Meal toys.
The fast-food chain debuted its Hello Kitty and Friends x Godzilla Happy Meal on Tuesday, Aug. 18. Each meal comes with one of eight toys that pair beloved Hello Kitty characters with monsters from the Godzilla universe.
All eight toys are available now, though the character included with each Happy Meal will be random, McDonald’s clarified in a comment on Instagram.
“It’s the ultimate crossover where Kawaii meets Kaiju, making friends at first bite and proving that even the mightiest monsters have a soft side,” McDonald’s said in a statement.
Fans quickly took to social media to react to the mashup, with some recalling Hello Kitty’s previous crossover with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
“After all these years, Godzilla finally gets the Happy Meal treatment!!! Can’t wait! And somehow I predicted this collab after seeing the success of the TMNT one! Awesome job!!” one Instagram commenter wrote.
Another joked about just how far they were willing to go to collect the toys.
“They really about to make me buy 63 Happy Meals,” the commenter wrote.
