Getting the cover of “Madden” is an annual tradition and honor for NFL athletes, and this upcoming season, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley will grace the cover of “Madden NFL 26.”
It’s been an eventful year for Barkley. He was a star player and a key reason why the Eagles won Super Bowl LIX. During the Eagles’ Super Bowl win, Barkley rushed for 57 yards and completed 40 receiving yards.

Eagles running back Saquon Barkley will cover this season’s “Madden NFL 26.”
There are two versions of the upcoming Madden game that will feature dual covers of Barkley.
On the standard edition cover of “Madden NFL 26,” Barkley is dressed in the Kelly green Eagles throwback jersey he wore during his viral reverse hurdle against Jacksonville in 2024.
On the deluxe edition cover of “Madden NFL 26,” Barkley is depicted in the Eagles’ standard home uniform from their Super Bowl LIX victory, casting an intense gaze through the side of his visor while illuminated by the grandeur of the championship stage.
What did Saquon Barkley say about getting the Madden cover?
It’s rare that running backs get chosen for the EA Sports “Madden” cover. Barkley and last season, San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey donned the cover of “Madden NFL 25.” Prior to McCafrrey, a running back hadn’t gotten the cover since 2013.
“When you get the call, you don’t know what to expect, right? And they ask you, ‘Do you want to be part of the Madden cover?’ I don’t know if anyone’s turned that down,” Barkley said on the NFL Network’s The Insiders.
“I definitely wasn’t gonna turn that down, the opportunity. I know so many people, so many kids that dream and would love to be in the position I am right now. I remember as a kid wanting to be part of the Madden cover. There have been so many players that have been part of the Madden cover. Now to be mentioned and have my name attached with those guys, words really can’t describe it.”
