The League of Women Voters of Wichita Falls is celebrating Women’s Equality Day on Tuesday, honoring the 19th Amendment and the power of women’s voices by presenting a play with free admission, according to a media release.
The League of Women Voters will present the play “Brilliant Minds” at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Backdoor Theatre, 401 Indiana, the LWV said in the media release. This short play celebrates the contribution of women inventors to our country. This special program also celebrates women’s suffrage and the fight for equity.
In addition, the North Texas History Museum will present a special display celebrating women in the Backdoor Theatre Lobby, the LWV said.
The League of Women Voters is a national, nonpartisan organization which provides voter registration events throughout Wichita County, the LWV said. The organization also provides the Voter’s Guide during the election cycle, giving vital, unbiased information about candidates and issues to voters.
