Live scores: Week 2 high school football updates for San Angelo and West Texas

Football season is finally here in West Texas, and high school teams around the area will kick off Week 2 action on Friday.

Week 2 features an intriguing slate of non-district games. Amarillo High visits San Angelo Central for the Bobcats’ home opener at San Angelo Stadium, the Wall Hawks will travel to Gordon Wood Stadium in Brownwood to face off against a new-look Lions squad, while Junction and San Saba battle at the Graveyard in a highly anticipated matchup between two playoff teams from last season.

On the six-man side, Garden City at Robert Lee, Water Valley at Hermleigh, May at Richland Springs and Westbrook at Jonesboro all have the possibility to surprise.
