Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant is going to miss Friday’s Game 6 of his team’s first-round NBA playoff series against the Los Angels Lakers because of the ankle injury that caused him to miss Games 3, 4 and 5. The news was first reported by ESPN.
Durant, who missed Game 1 with an unrelated knee injury, suffered his ankle injury late in the Rockets loss in Game 2.

Without Durant, Houston lost Games 3 and 4 but has rallied to win two straight, keeping the series alive and sending it back to Houston.
Per ESPN’s reporting, Durant’s injury has a two-week timetable for returning to play. Durant suffered the injury on April 21, 12 days before a potential Game 7 in this series.
