Bomb threat discovered in bathroom at Walmart prompts evacuation

The Walmart store on Bluebell Drive was evacuated the morning of April 29 after a bomb threat message was discovered in the women’s bathroom.

According to a release by the New Philadelphia Police Department, no suspicious items were found during a sweep of the store by officers and bomb detection K9 teams from the Canton Police Department. The store reopened at approximately 12:05 p.m.
