Highlights from Texas A&M's eighth spring practice on Saturday

Texas A&M’s eighth spring practice took place on Saturday morning, and, due to expected inclement weather in College Station, the Aggies returned to the Bright Complex for the second consecutive practice, just two weeks away from the annual Maroon & White Spring Game. During Thursday’s seventh practice, the offense, led by starting quarterback Marcel Reed, continued to make waves.

While still early in the offseason, it’s fair to say that Texas A&M’s freshman wide receiver corps, led by former blue-chip prospect Aaron Gregory, has lived up to their recruiting hype, while the Georgia native could find himself as a key rotational member this fall.

On defense, among the 17 transfer portal additions, Northwestern transfer edge Anto Saka’s size, speed, and elite athleticism have been on full display, while several returning defenders, especially sophomore linebacker Noah Mikail, have also stood out as ascending players that should make an immediate impact in 2026.

Still, no matter how good Texas A&M’s defense performs next season, it’s fair to say that Marcel Reed’s improvement in the pocket, combined with four new starters along the offensive line, will dictate how far the Aggies go after making the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history last season.

Once again, thanks to Texas A&M beat writers Carter Karels and Tony Catallina, here are the best highlights from Saturday’s eighth spring practice.
