The Dallas Cowboys made a few roster moves on Thursday, placing OL Matt Hennessy on season-ending IR, while waiving CB Corey Ballentine and WR Romello Brinson. To cover the loss of Hennessy, the Cowboys signed OL Chris Glaser; they would also sign DE Charles Snowden, WR Denzel Mims, and CB Ameer Speed to churn the bottom of the roster and add competition at each position. The coaching staff in Dallas has talked about adding competition and holding players accountable, and these moves show they aren’t kidding around.
While Mims could be seen as the biggest name in the new signings, Snowden could be the player who winds up making the roster. Snowden has appeared in 33 games in his NFL career, and while he doesn’t light up the stat sheets, he did have his best season in 2025 with the Las Vegas Raiders, with three sacks, five tackles for loss, and one interception. Dallas has few players on the roster who’ve proven they can get to the quarterback, and if Snowden can build off his 2025 season, his chances are far greater than Mims, Speed, and even Glaser.
