Could Texas A&M land two priority 2027 wide receivers this week?

After landing five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson last Thursday, Texas A&M coach Mike Elko and new OC Holmon Wiggins have their sights set on two of the top uncommitted wide receivers in the 2027 class, as five-star Eric McFarland and rising three-star Demani Warren both took their official visits to College Station over the last few weeks.

McFarland, who will announce his commitment next Sunday, has already received a prediction to land with the Aggies, while Demani Warren praised the Aggie coaching staff during his unofficial visit earlier this spring, and the Michigan Wolverines have slowly but surely become the leaders in his recruitment after taking his official visit to Ann Arbor this weekend.

McFarland, who stands at 5’8″, is more of a slot receiver and highly similar to current junior wide receiver Mario Craver, who reeled in 917 yards and four touchdowns after transferring from Mississippi State before the 2025 season. After landing four-star WR Aaron Gregory in the 2026 signing class, who will compete for the starting X receiver spot over the next two seasons, Warren, who is another big-body wideout, also fits the mold as an X receiver.

While others and I believe Texas A&M remains the overwhelming favorite to land McFarland on Sunday, Warren has yet to announce his commitment date, but earlier this month, just days after his official visit with the Aggies, Mike Elko could be on the cusp of landing both wide receivers over the next two weeks, especially if AggieYell insider Jaxson Callaway’s recent analysis holds up.

“Coming out of the weekend, we continue to hear that things are trending in the Aggies’ favor. There is no rush for Warren to make a decision, but he’s a name that remains firmly in the mix to eventually join Texas A&M‘s top-ranked class.”

While time has passed since his A&M OV, Warren’s decision could come down to the wire, similar to Kaden Henderson’s last-minute decision between Texas A&M and Notre Dame, ultimately choosing the Aggies, and shutting down his recruitment.
