Café Con Leche got a pick-me-up this spring thanks to Atmos Energy, a media release said.
The area nonprofit which assists families in understanding and planning for college after high school, received $5,000 from Atmos April 20.
“Each year, Atmos Energy is honored to partner with Café Con Leche to support education for students in the Wichita Falls ISD,” the company said in a media release.
The media release lauds the nonprofit’s Road to College program for changing the future of students.
“They receive the tools to achieve in school, score higher on SAT tests, apply for college and receive scholarships and other funding to attend Midwestern State University or Vernon College,” the Atmos media release said.
“Education is a fundamental need and high priority in Atmos Energy’s Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities Initiative,” the media release said.
During Fiscal Year 2025-2026, Atmos has donated about $175,00 for education in the Wichita Falls area,” the media release said.
