Angelo State quarterback Braeden Fuller announced on the social media platform X that he has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Fuller had a breakout campaign in 2024 when he was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Player of the Year after leading the Rams to a 9-3 record and LSC title.
He had 2,318 yards passing and 19 touchdowns, with 678 yards and 10 touchdowns rushing as a junior.
Coming into the 2025 season, Fuller was named the Preseason LSC Offensive Player of the Year, and the Rams were heavy favorites to repeat as conference champions.
Fuller missed some time with a calf strain he suffered in a Week 2 win against Emporia State, and his production took a significant dip after he returned to the fold.
After starting 4-0 and reaching as high as No. 6 in the national rankings, the Rams struggled in the second half of the season, finishing with a record of 6-5.
In eight games, Fuller had 1,050 yards passing and 15 touchdowns, with 42 yards rushing, while splitting reps with sophomore Kaeden Smith and redshirt freshman Ayden Arp.
Along with Fuller, wide receiver Corey Sandolph and defensive back Xavier Wilson entered the transfer portal.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Sandoplh had 19 catches for 336 yards passing and seven touchdowns.
Wilson was a standout defensive back for the Rams in 2025 with 68 tackles, nine pass breakups and six interceptions.
Fuller, Sandolph and Wilson have one year of eligibility remaining.
