Amarillo police are seeking the public’s help with any community video footage that may have been recorded around the time of the July 27 incident where an 18-year-old was found dead.
“The Amarillo Police Homicide Unit is asking for any community video relating to the early Sunday morning Homicide at NW2 and Adams on July 27,” a community update sent July 29 reads. “We have created a link and QR code that can be accessed from any device and you can upload your video directly to the link. If you have cellphone, car, doorbell, security or any other video or images that might help with this investigation, we would greatly appreciate it.”
Police are specifically looking for anything from between the hours of 3:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. in the area of Northwest 2nd and North Adams.
Homicide investigators are also asking the public for any social media posts that may have been recording before, during or after the shooting, and anyone who lives in the area, or anyone who attended an event, is asked to inspect any property to see if there is any damage from the gunfire.

As previously reported, Amarillo officers were sent to the area of 2nd and Adams on a reported shooting at about 4:18 a.m. Sunday, July 27. The Amarillo Police Department said dispatch had received several calls from people at the time, who said shots were being fired in the area.
Police dispatch was also advised there was at least one person who had been shot and was in a vehicle. Officers found Damarian Grear, 18, dead from an apparent gunshot wound and inside a vehicle. The police department’s homicide unit was called to the scene.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
