What is Texas A&M football's record against SEC teams since 2000?

While Texas A&M has only been a member of the Southeastern Conference since 2012, the Aggies’ football program has a solid track record against league foes entering the 2026 season.

With the SEC’s first-ever nine-game conference schedule on the horizon, Texas A&M boasts a .500 winning percentage or greater against eight teams and an overall record of 71-80. The Aggies have played 31 of those contests against Arkansas and Texas, which are rivalries that began long before the Maroon and White joined the SEC.

Texas A&M holds winning records against Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Vanderbilt over the last 25 years, but is behind in the series against Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Texas.

Over the last two seasons under head coach Mike Elko, Texas A&M posted a 12-4 overall record in conference play. Elko’s squad went 11-2 overall and 7-1 in the SEC in Elko’s second season at the helm and finished the year in the program’s first appearance in the College Football Playoff.

The Aggies started the 2025 campaign with an 11-0 record, their best since 1992 and the highest they’ve reached in over three decades. Since being named head coach in Bryan-College Station in November of 2023, Elko has established a winning culture that is attracting talent from across the nation to compete for the Aggies against elite SEC competition.

Under the league’s new scheduling format, Texas A&M’s permanent yearly opponents will be LSU, Missouri, and Texas, but the Aggies will also host Arkansas, Kentucky, and Tennessee, with road trips against Alabama, Oklahoma, and South Carolina.
