After standout regular seasons and phenomenal playoff runs, dozens of the Wichita Falls area’s top high school volleyball players have been chosen to compete in the 2026 Oil Bowl.
The Oil Bowl — which began in 1938 as an East Texas versus West Texas high school football all-star game — has since transformed into a series of regional, postseason high school all-star games in football, volleyball and boys and girls basketball.
The Oil Bowl has also raised thousands of dollars to support charities throughout the Lone Star State. Charities benefitted in the past were the North Texas Rehabilitation Center in Wichita Falls and Shriners Hospitals for Children. Proceeds are now donated to Maskat Shrine.
Though the football version has been called off this year, the 2026 version of the Oil Bowl will feature a boys basketball all-star game, a girls basketball all-star game and two high school volleyball all-star games this weekend in Wichita Falls.
In total, 39 of the area’s most talented and decorated high school seniors have been chosen to represent their schools and towns in the big and small-school high school volleyball versions of the 2026 Oil Bowl.
The small-school volleyball edition of the 2026 Oil Bowl is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, at Memorial High School in Wichita Falls. The large-school volleyball version of the 2026 Oil Bowl will begin immediately after the small-school game.
Here’s a closer look at all the Wichita Falls-area volleyball players and coaches selected to compete in the 2026 Oil Bowl.
