Ohio State will open the 2025 season as one of the favorites to capture the College Football Playoff national championship. With coach Ryan Day leading the program, the Buckeyes are attempting to become only the fourth team to win back-to-back outright national titles since 1957.
The season opens with a shot at the nation’s preseason No. 1 team: the Texas Longhorns, who will visit Ohio Stadium for a rematch of last year’s College Football Playoff semifinal game. The Buckeyes won that one, 28-14, before taking down Notre Dame in the title game.
