OHSAA baseball scores, schedule for the 2026 East District tournament

OHSSA tournament time is here for baseball teams.

Fans can follow East District results as games end throughout the first and second rounds, which begin May 18.

As games comes to a end, scores will be added and winners will be bolded.

Division III, Region 11 – East – Sectional/District

First round: Monday, May 18 (all games at 5 p.m.)

(4) Dresden Tri-Valley 4, (3) Steubenville 0

Tri-Valley got on the board in the first inning, scoring two runs on a single and a sacrifice fly. The Scotties held Steubenville scoreless through seven innings as Tanner Henry started on the mound, pitching a complete game, striking out seven batters and surrendering four hits and three walks.

(6) Zanesville 4, Dover 3

Zansville was held scoreless for six of seven innings during the game; however, the Blue Devils used a four run forth inning to take down the Tornadoes. Zanesville had two players record two hits: Noah Darnes and Karter Burrell. On the mound, Maddox Mohler tossed all seven innings, striking out two batters and surrendering seven hits and three walks.

Division IV, Region 15 – East 1 – Sectional/District

First round: Tuesday, May 19 (all games at 5 p.m.)

(10) New Concord John Glenn 13, (7) Byesville Meadowbrook 3

A huge eight run third inning lifted the visiting Muskies to the upset in Division IV first round action on Tuesday, May 19. John Glenn (10-16) banged out 12 hits in the victory, with Keegan Halsey a perfect 4-4 with a double, three singles with a pair of RBIs. Rocco Sabino added three singles with two RBIs, and Carter Merry hit a home run, singled with two RBIs. Meadowbrook’s Austin Warner and Brady Arnold each singled twice, with Blake Lappert hitting a two-run home run for the Colts who finish season at 12-12.

First round: Wednesday, May 20

(11) Zanesville Maysville at (6) Duncan Falls Philo at 5 p.m.

District semifinals: Wednesday, May 27 (all games at 5 p.m.)

Zanesville Maysville/Duncan Falls Philo vs Millersburg West Holmes/Richmond Edison

District championship: Friday, May 29 at 5 p.m.

Senior Dawson Geese was dominant on the mound for the Bobcats by ringing up 10 strikeouts, in four and two-thirds innings of shutout innings to pick up the win. Seniors Garrett Carpenter and Mason Gregg each paced the offense with 3-4 night with three singles with two RBIs. Derrick Peterson doubled, singled, while Tate Sikora, Javon Lowery and Geese each added RBI base hits.

Division VI, Region 23 – East 1 – Sectional/District

First round: Monday, May 18 (all games at 5 p.m.)

(10) Bridgeport 6, (11) Bellaire 5

Bellaire scored all five of its runs in the first two innings and after the fourth inning Bridgeport tied the game at 5-5. In the bottom of the seventh inning, after three batters reached base via an error, single and a intentional walk. Brett Kuprowicz hit a sacrifice fly to right field scoring the winning run. Connor Nelson came into the game in the third inning, tossing five scoreless innings, striking out 13 batters and surrendering two hits.

(6) Caldwell 4, (7) Sarasville Shenandoah 1

Caldwell got on the board in the fourth inning during a three-run inning on double scoring two runs and an RBI single. Caldwell used two pitchers, Jake Laswell struck out six batters over four innings, allowing one run on two hits. Kyler Star came in relief tossing three scoreless innings, striking out six batters on zero hits. Lucas Baker led all players with two RBIs.

(9) Crooksville 9, (8) Newcomerstown 0

Eli Sprankle and Joe Bob Pitcock combined for six RBIs as Sprankle led all players with four hits and scored two runs. Crooksville limited Newcomerstown to three hits as Jace Thompson and Brody Cottrell combined for seven innings pitched, seven strikeouts.

Second round: Wednesday, May 20 (all games at 5 p.m.)

(8) Steubenville Cath. Central 18, (9) Tuscarawas Central Catholic 7 (5 inn.)

After taking a 3-0 lead after the first inning Tuscarawas Central Catholic surrendered 13 runs during the bottom of the second inning. Steubenville Catholic Central had seven players record two or more RBIs with Daveon Thorn led all players with three RBIs. The Crusaders would capitalize again in the the fourth inning scoring five runs.
