Prime Day is an annual multi-day shopping event for new and existing Amazon Prime members. The two-day extravaganza includes deals on some of Amazon’s most popular products, including smart tech, kitchen tools, home products, beauty essentials, fashion staples, fitness gadgets and more.
But when does the online sale begin? Here’s what we know.
When is Amazon Prime Day 2026?
The annual Prime Day sale will begin at 3 a.m. ET on Tuesday, June 23 and will continue through Friday, June 26, according to CNN.

The online retailer’s 2026 Prime Day sale lasts four days this year.
Why did Amazon Prime Day shift to June?
In past years, Amazon Prime Day has occurred sometime after the Fourth of July. However, the earlier dates would place Prime Day in Amazon’s second fiscal quarter and could help the company capture more back‑to‑school spending, Chain Store Age reports.
When was the last Amazon Prime Day?
In 2025, Prime Day started on July 8 and ran through July 11. Amazon also held another Prime members-only sale in October, which ran from Oct. 7-8.

Who can get deals on Amazon Prime Day?
Discounts are for Amazon Prime members only. Join Prime or start a free 30-day trial at amazon.com/prime.
How much does Amazon Prime cost?
A standard Amazon Prime membership is approximately $14.99 per month or $139 for a one-year subscription. The current Amazon Prime student membership is $7.49 per month or $69 per year.
Qualifying government assistance recipients can sign up for Prime Access for $6.99 per month.

Amazon Prime Day deals 2026
Although this year’s Prime Day deals have yet to be announced, the sale will likely include discounts on Amazon-exclusive products and other trending items and brands.
Prime members will also get to take advantage of big discounts across more than 35 categories, including electronics, kitchen, beauty, household items, groceries and more, per the press release.
