Twinsburg Fire Department and 10 other departments responded to a house fire July 8 on Liberty Road after an officer passing the driveway saw smoke.
When crews arrived on scene just before 10:30 a.m. they saw smoke coming from the second story with visible flames, according to a news release. Firefighters conducted a search of the home and confirmed that it was unoccupied.
Due to the location and speed of the fire, crews withdrew from the home and transitioned to a defensive operation. The fire was brought under control, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Assisting fire departments included Aurora, Bedford, Bedford Heights, Hudson, Macedonia, Northfield Village, Oakwood, Reminderville, Solon and Streetsboro.
