River Valley shared the Mid Ohio Athletic Conference softball championship with Ontario in 2025, but to start the 2026 season in the league, the Vikings swept the Warriors.
River Valley opened conference play with a 14-3 win over the Warriors.
RV’s Kylie Eastep homered and singled twice for four RBIs, plus she pitched a six-hitter with three walks and nine strikeouts.
Liv Collins also homered and singled for three runs scored. Emerson Isom doubled and drove in three, while Sam Woods and Chloe Addis both scored three times and Londyn Danals singled twice.
The other game proved much tighter as the Vikings outlasted Ontario 1-0. Eastep pitched a two-hitter with eight strikeouts and three walks as Isom and Danals both doubled.
