The interactive session, Student Changemakers Leading the Way with AI Passion Projects to Global Recognition, will take place at 9 a.m. June 29. The session is led by Snow White, director of education strategy for Intel, and will feature students who are using artificial intelligence to solve real-world challenges while inspiring educators from around the world, according to an announcement.

The panel will highlight how students are using AI to create meaningful change, compete on the global stage and develop solutions that address authentic community needs. Educators attending the conference will leave with practical ideas for empowering students to turn curiosity into innovation.

“This opportunity is another example of what happens when students are empowered to solve real problems,” said Ridgewood Superintendent Mike Masloski in the announcement. “These young women continue to advocate for improving reading opportunities for all students. Their passion, creativity and commitment to helping others have opened doors that extend far beyond our school district and we could not be more proud to see them representing the United States on an international stage.”

The Ridgewood AI Youth Program continues to demonstrate how rural students can become global leaders by combining innovation, collaboration and service to others. Their participation at one of the world’s premier educational technology conferences reflects Ridgewood’s commitment to preparing students to lead, innovate and make a positive impact through emerging technologies, according to the announcement.

“I am incredibly grateful for Lester McCurdy and his unwavering commitment to our students,” Masloski said of the program’s instructor. “Even during the summer months, he continues to dedicate countless hours to mentoring our students, expanding the AI Youth Program and meeting with educational partners and vendors to explore opportunities that can provide scholarship funding for these outstanding young women. His passion and dedication have been instrumental in making this opportunity possible.”
