Lions announce 2026 training camp fan schedule, times

The start of the 2026 NFL season keeps on creeping closer.

The Detroit Lions’ players are currently enjoying one final month off before they hit the ground running with training camp in late July. The Lions’ training camp report dates are Saturday, July 25 for rookies and Tuesday, July 28 for veterans.

Earlier this week, the Lions also announced their 2026 training camp fan schedule. This marks the 20th-straight year of hosting training camp in Allen Park at the Meijer Performance Center.

Lions training camp opens with Back Together Weekend on Sunday, Aug. 2 at 8:30 a.m. ET.

The Lions’ training camp schedule features five general public open practices (Aug. 3, 4, 6, 10, and 19), four exclusive practices for Lions Loyal Members (Aug. 2, 7, 16, and 17), Lions Community Partner Day for a second year (Aug. 11) and the fourth annual Pet Adoption Day presented by Pet Supplies Plus (Aug. 4).

Fans must claim free tickets to attend the general public open practices (maximum four per person) beginning at 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday, July 21. Lions Loyal Members will receive an email with separate information on how to claim their tickets through early registration beginning Tuesday, July 14 for Club Members and Wednesday, July 15 for Reserve Members.

What is the Detroit Lions’ Community Partner Day?

Here’s a little more info on the Lions’ Community Partner Day, set for Aug. 11:

Lions Community Partner Day is an exclusive training camp day centered on celebrating the community the Lions look to impact each and every day and those groups who make it possible. The Lions will host 3,000 guests of community partners who focus on the development of youth education throughout Michigan. Guests will include members of the Detroit Lions Cub Club, Detroit Lions Foundation, and Detroit Lions Inspire Change Partners.

Additional training camp information, including fan policies, parking and entry, and details for each specific practice, is available and will be regularly updated at www.detroitlions.com/trainingcamp. Fans can also text Training Camp to (313-546-6700) to receive text updates.

The Lions won’t participate in any joint practices this year as they navigate training camp.

Detroit’s three-game preseason slate features an Aug. 13 date at the Cincinnati Bengals, an Aug. 22 date versus the Washington Commanders and an Aug. 29 date at the Indianapolis Colts.
