Cowboys Weekend Headlines: History's brink, Quinnen, Parker dilemmas

The Dallas Cowboys’ 2026 schedule isn’t an easy one, and it carries a certain weight from a franchise standpoint. The last time the Cowboys had three losing seasons in a row was from 2000 through 2002, and a repeat would be just the fourth time in the team’s history of such a streak. The general consensus is that this particular team has the weapons and talent to win at least nine games, regardless of how tough the schedule looks on paper.

One person who’s sure to help get them over the hurdle will be new defensive coordinator Christian Parker, but plenty of questions do exist for the first-timer. Many believe he can turn the unit around, but it won’t be immediate. Parker is learning on the job, but has had great teachers in Vic Fangio and Vance Joseph. If he can figure out how to incorporate a bit of both, he could take this defense from worst to average or better.
