The SUV went off the right side of the roadway, slid into a field and rolled, coming to rest on its side, the sheriff’s office said.

The driver, the vehicle’s only occupant, was ejected from the SUV, the sheriff’s office said. Madison Township police officers attempted CPR until medics arrived and pronounced the driver dead at the scene at 12:17 a.m.

The SUV had been reported stolen from Columbus or Canal Winchester recently, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office has not identified its driver.

Anyone with information about the crash can contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Unit at 614-5252-6113.
