The Ohio State men’s basketball team will open the 2026-27 season a few time zones west.
The first game of the season for the Buckeyes will be a semi-neutral site game against BYU that will be played in Salt Lake City, The Dispatch has confirmed. The game will be played Nov. 2 and take place inside the Delta Center, home of the NBA’s Utah Jazz and NHL’s Utah Mammoth.
This is the third high-major foe known to be on Ohio State’s schedule for the upcoming season. The Buckeyes will also go to Notre Dame to conclude a home-and-home series that began last season and take on Kansas in the annual CBS Sports Classic. That game is set to take place Dec. 19 in New York City’s Madison Square Garden. A date for the game against the Fighting Irish has yet to be announced.
Full schedule details will be announced at a later date. With the transfer portal open, keep tabs on players the Buckeyes have been connected with by visiting our tracker here.
