Monday’s boys golf highlights: Lake Center’s Jacob Rainieri earns state tournament berth
TANNENHAUF DIVISION III DISTRICT: Lake Center Christian junior Jacob Rainieri earned an individual state berth in the Division III district tournament at Tannenhauf. He finished sixth with a 79.
Monday’s girls soccer highlights: Audrey Eaton sets West Branch shutout record
WEST BRANCH 5, URSULINE 0: Goalkeeper Audrey Eaton broke a West Branch record with her 12th shutout of the season in the Warriors’ win over Ursuline. Grace Bates and Elli Colian scored two goals apiece for West Branch.
CENTRAL CATHOLIC 3, MARLINGTON 1: Ellie Buckler scored all three of the Crusaders’ goals unassisted in her team’s win over the Dukes.
Monday’s girls volleyball highlights: McKinley, Lake Center win
McKINLEY 26-25-25, BEDFORD 24-15-14: Janey Johnson served 12 points with five aces and added nine digs in the Bulldogs’ sweep of Bedford.
LAKE CENTER CHRISTIAN 25-25-22-25, WARREN JFK 17-11-25-14: Lilly Kane had 27 kills and three blocks for the Tigers in their win over the Eagles.
WOOSTER 25-25-23-27-15, PERRY 16-16-25-29-12: Adysen Hill had 11 kills and 11 points for the Panthers in their five-set loss to the Generals.
