Cincinnati suburb ranked No. 17 in Best Suburbs to Live in America by Niche

A Cincinnati suburb was named a top 25 suburb in America.

Blue Ash, located northeast of Downtown, was ranked No. 17 in the 2025 list of best suburbs to live in America by Niche, a ranking and review site for schools and places to live.

The rankings were determined by various factors such as crime rates, public schools, cost of living, job opportunities, health statistics and local amenities, including access to bars and restaurants, according to Niche. Data came from the U.S. Census, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the FBI, and more.

Chesterbook, a suburb of Philadelphia, topped the list, followed by Carmel, Indiana, and Madison, Alabama.

Blue Ash was the only Ohio suburb to make the top 25. The second-highest-ranked Ohio suburb was Oakwood, located south of Dayton and ranked No. 75. Mariemont, located northeast of Cincinnati, ranked No. 129 for the third-highest Ohio suburb.

Blue Ash also ranked No. 31 on Niche’s best place to live in America list, which The Enquirer reported earlier this year.
