Newcomerstown juvenile injured in Coshocton dirt bike crash

COSHOCTON − A juvenile from Newcomerstown was injured while riding a dirt bike late on May 30 in Oxford Township.

A release by the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office said the youth laid the bike down in the roadway and was ejected onto a side road. The incident occurred at 11:26 p.m. May 30 in the 20000 block of County Road 106.

The juvenile was transported from the scene to Newcomerstown High School and then transported by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus. The condition of the juvenile was unknown at the time. The sheriff’s office did not release the name of the juvenile.

Assisting on scene were Coshocton County Emergency Medical Service and West Lafayette and Newcomerstown fire departments.
