NEW PHILADELPHIA − The New Philadelphia Police Department is participating in the First Responder Photo Challenge, according to a social media post.
The challenge is a celebration of Ohio’s public safety agencies and the communities they serve. Held each year in remembrance of the Sept. 11 attacks and the heroic response of first responders, this statewide competition invites agencies to showcase their vehicles in creative, pride-filled photos, the post stated.
From Sept. 11–30, the public can vote for their favorites, bringing together communities from across Ohio in support of police, fire, EMS and other public safety professionals.
Hosted by Light Ohio Blue and Light Ohio Red, it is a friendly competition intended to boost community engagement and support first responders.
