COSHOCTON − A New Concord man was injured when his motorcycle struck a deer in the early morning hours of June 1.
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred at 1:43 a.m. June 1 in the 15000 block of Ohio 83 in Franklin Township.
Willis Young III, 48, of New Concord was traveling northbound on a 1990 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he struck a deer, according a release from the sheriff’s office. Young laid the motorcycle down and was ejected into the roadway.
Young was transported to a nearby location and then flown by MedFlight to Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. The medical center said they didn’t have Young listed as a patient as of 10:40 a.m. Monday.
Assisting on scene were Coshocton County Emergency Medical Services, Franklin-Conesville-Virginia Fire Department and Bradford’s Wrecker Service.
