CHILLICOTHE— Picture this: It’s late and you just got off of work from your second shift job. Nothing is open, but you still want to work out and better your body. Enter the Stacked Social Club, a 24-hour Chillicothe gym where you can work out no matter the time.
That is just one of the many situations where the always-open gym and fitness center can help those looking to work out.

From weights and punching bags to cardio equipment, owner Ben Hatmacher said there is a range of equipment for people to use. His goal was to be able to have something for everyone, whether you are a bodybuilder or an older person trying to stay active.
“I just wanted to be able to accommodate everyone,” said Hatmacher.
Already a business owner with Grimey Inc. Tattoos, Hatmacher said it was his kids who encouraged him to start the gym. They would often work out together, so having a gym helps him stay connected with them as they grow.
He also wanted to create a place that made being healthy easy. He said that so often people are tempted to eat unhealthy food and not work out because it is easy, but a convenient gym can make working out less of a struggle for some.
“I felt like Chillicothe needed a new space,” said Hatmacher.
In addition to the gym, a healthy cafe is located in the front of the business called The Spot. This cafe offers food like acai bowls and salad as well as drinks like coffee and smoothies, all made with healthy ingredients.
Members can enter the gym through the front entrance while The Spot is open, but when the cafe is closed, they will have a private entrance to use anytime.
To celebrate the official grand opening of the gym, Stacked Social Club and the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting. Chamber President and CEO Mike Throne said it is “pretty awesome” to have a gym with so much equipment in the downtown.
You can visit the Stacked Social Club at 78 West Water Street in Chillicothe. Memberships currently start at just $35 per month.
