KNOX TOWNSHIP ‒ Knox Township Festival, set for July 18 in Columbiana County, has been postponed.
In a Facebook post, officials with organizers the Homeworth Community Group cited severe weather conditions in the forecast. The forecast calls for a 60% to 80% chance of thunderstorms on July 18.
The festival was supposed to kick off at 3 p.m. at North Georgetown Fire Department.
“After closely monitoring the forecast, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone tomorrow’s Knox Township Festival. With the potential for severe weather and conditions that could impact the safety our vendors, volunteers, entertainers and community, we believe postponing is the best decision for everyone involved,” the post said.
Officials said they are looking to reschedule the festival and will update at a later date on Facebook.
