“Saturday Night Live” is taking a short break.
A new episode of NBC’s Emmy-winning late-night comedy showcase isn’t scheduled to air until May, with a first-time host slated to join the show when it returns. An episode that was previously broadcast will occupy the usual “Saturday Night Live” time slot on April 18.

A new “SNL” episode won’t air this week. The next episode, featuring a first-time host, is scheduled for May 2.
The most recent episode aired April 11, when “Euphoria” star Colman Domingo hosted for the first time.
Who will be on ‘SNL’ next?
Pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo will follow in Harry Styles’ footsteps, pulling double duty as the host and musical guest for the May 2 “SNL” episode.
The “Drivers License” singer will make her hosting debut, even though she’s already appeared on “SNL” as the show’s musical guest twice (seasons 46 and 49). Rodrigo will join the Studio 8H stage in support of her upcoming album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl so in Love,” which drops June 12.
How to watch ‘Saturday Night Live’
All episodes of “SNL” premiere Saturday nights at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Those wanting to stream the show live can do so with a Peacock premium subscription, or stream new episodes the next day with a basic Peacock subscription.
Hulu + Live TV subscribers, or anyone with a streaming service that offers live TV capabilities, can also stream the show live on Saturday nights.
The show will be available to stream with a regular Hulu subscription Sunday, the day after a new episode airs.
