Cincinnati Reds fans and fantasy baseball owners alike may be wondering when Reds starting pitcher Hunter Greene will make his 2026 MLB debut.
Greene made his second rehab start for the Triple-A Louisville Bats on June 28. Greene allowed just one hit without a walk in 6 1/3 shutout innings, with four strikeouts.
Greene said June 29 he expects to be activated from the 60-day injured list to rejoin the Reds’ rotation July 3 or 4 against the Baltimore Orioles at Great American Ball Park.
In his first rehab start for the Bats, Greene allowed two hits and a walk in four shutout innings with three strikeouts.
Greene also made a rehab start June 18 for the ACL Reds in Arizona, tossing four shutout innings with six strikeouts.
Greene was not listed among the Reds’ probable pitchers for their four-game series against the Brewers in Milwaukee.
Greene had surgery March 11 to remove bone chips and spurs from his right elbow.
In 19 starts in 2025, Greene was 7-4 with a 2.76 ERA and 0.938 WHIP.
Over four seasons with the Reds, Greene is 25-29 with a 3.65 ERA and 1.140 WHIP over 91 starts.
