How to get half price Kings Island, Cedar Point tickets, only in Ohio

Cedar Point in Sandusky on the shores of Lake Erie and Kings Island in Mason near Cincinnati already have some of the best, fastest and most epic roller coasters. 

Thanks to a limited time deal at McDonald’s it’s even easier to pay a visit to Cedar Point or Kings Island this summer since Ohio customers can save up to 50% on tickets through a limited-time promotion at participating McDonald’s restaurants in the state.

How to get discounted Cedar Point, Kings Island tickets in Ohio for a limited time

Customers who buy a large Coca-Cola drink at participating McDonald’s restaurants in Ohio will receive a QR code printed on their cup. Scanning the code unlocks a discount that can be used to purchase Cedar Point or Kings Island tickets for up to 50% off, according to ABC 6. The deals runs through Aug. 16.

Both Ohio parks were rated among the best amusement parks in the U.S. for 2026 by USA TODAY 10BEST readers for their rides and other accommodations.

How many McDonald’s locations are in Ohio?

There are 618 McDonald’s restaurants in Ohio, according to the web scraping tool ScrapeHero. Only California, Texas, Florida and Illinois have more locations than Ohio. Customers should check with their local restaurant to confirm participation.
