Contra Dance, 7-9:30 p.m., Saturday, Valley College Grange, 2411 Shreve Road. Live Celtic music by Pocketful O’Gimmick. Susan English calling longways sets, mixers, and squares. Suggested donation: $8 for adults, $5 for students. No partner or experience necessary. Please carry clean shoes and a personal water flask. Next dance: May 2.

Kelly McLennan & Her Jazz Quintet, 7 p.m. Monday, King Road Christian Church, 1425 King Road in Ashland. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. Memberships are also available and welcome.

It will bring to the stage unforgettable favorites from Seussical, Shrek The Musical, and Disney hits like Beauty and the Beast and Frozen.
