A Hartville man turned a normal stop at the grocery store into huge lottery win.
While shopping at a Giant Eagle in Ravenna to buy coffee creamer on July 25, the man bought a Gold Rush scratch-off ticket and won $25. Feeling lucky, he decided to play Lucky 10’s.
The screen flashed congrats with “a whole lot of numbers.” He found 15 “10” symbols on his ticket.
The man, who wasn’t identified by name in an Ohio Lottery news release, won $135,247 — 50% of the $270,495 prize.
After tax withholdings, he will take home $99,068.43. The man said he plans to save the money for retirement.
