CLEVELAND — The reigning American League Central Division champion Cleveland Guardians will conclude their three-game series with the Houston Astros on Wednesday, April 22.

The Guardians won 8-5 on Tuesday, April 21 to even the series after the Astros won 9-2 on Monday, April 20.

The Guardians (14-11) remain in first place in the American League Central Division and the Astros (9-16) are at the bottom of the AL West standings.

Yordan Alvarez hits a two-run home run over the fence in right field to give the Astros a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Carlos Correa led off with a double to left and then Alvarez hit the ball 422 feet. Not a good start for Tanner Bibee.

Alvarez has 11 home runs and 26 RBIs. He entered today batting .330.

Bibee retires the next three batters with Jose Altuve and Christian Walker each grounding out and Isaac Paredes striking out.
